We are under new ownership from 2018.

Mountain View B&B is ituated on the outskirts of town with a view of Vryheid Mountain and a 5 min drive to the centre of town. We have a new braai area alongside the pool and our Dinning Hall can accommodate up to 25 guests for functions and has a fully functional fireplace.

Breakfast is prepared by our chef for our overnight guests.

We have 8 en-suite rooms that have Wi-Fi, aircon, DSTV with coffee nook.

Palm Grove Guest House is a beautiful, RECENTLY RENOVATED - Cape Dutch style home situated in a quiet area at the foot of Vryheid Hill under one of the tallest palm trees in the area.

The Vryheid area offers many interesting sites for the curious traveler - it is worthwhile paying a visit to the surrounding battlefields of the Anglo-Boer and Anglo-Zulu wars.

If wildlife and game viewing is your thing then a day trip to close-by Ithala Game Park is a must on your itinerary whilst using our guest home as your base.

Fancy hiking? The Vryheid hill offers a very pleasant 10km hiking trail where game such as Springbuck, Blesbuck, Eland and Zebra can be viewed. For the keen birdwatcher we also have many species in the area that will keep you busy.
